It was a weekend to remember for the 2,500+ students that competed at this year’s three-day Rowing Regatta at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, England.
The BUCS Regatta is the highlight of the university rowing calendar. The event gives U.K. universities an opportunity to compete against each other at every level of rowing ability; allowing them to compete against matched crews.
Around 2,500 students from over 70 universities competed in men’s and women’s races throughout the bank holiday weekend, with champions crowned in 10 different classes.
Universities earn points based on their finishing position in races, with the overall winner lifting the Victor Ludorum (Latin for “the winner of the games”). Men’s and Women’s Victor Ludorum’s were also awarded to the best performing universities.
We take a look at the winners from every Championship race from the 2021/22 BUCS Regatta.
