With the games now finished, we take a look at who came out on top at the 2021/22 British University Esports Championship to be crowned Esports University of the Year.
Over 100 universities from around the U.K. battled it out all season long to claim the title of 2021/22 Esports University of the Year.
Students represented their universities in weekly matches throughout the academic year, playing a variety of games including Overwatch, Rocket League, Tekken, Rainbow Six Siege, and Smash Bros Ultimate tournaments, in order to earn the prestigious title.

The British University Esports Championship (BUEC) is run by the UK university esports body and tournament provider, National Student Esports (NSE), in partnership with British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).
With an incredible 1,000 matches being played each week, BUEC is one of Europe’s largest organised esports competitions.

After a fiercely contested year of competition, the University of Warwick topped the standings in the British University Esports Championship (BUEC) for 2021/22. See which universities finished in the top 10 with the official points table for the BUEC NSE season below.
For the fourth year in a row, the University of Warwick is the Esports University of the Year for 2021/2022!
As well as topping the table with a staggering 4,036 points, Warwick also had a record five teams playing in the nine championship finals.
Loughborough University recorded its best-ever performance to place second overall this academic year, followed closely by the University of Portsmouth in third.
Durham University (4th) and University College London (5th) joined Loughborough as newcomers to the top five this year. Compared to last year, there were three new universities joining the top ten standings: Swansea University, University of Birmingham, and University College London.
