The Student Sport Company is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership with England Volleyball, the National Governing Body of volleyball in England.
This exciting partnership, initially set over two years, will see The Student Sport Company named as the Official Talent Pathway Partner of Volleyball England.
With a history of helping sport-minded students to identify opportunities where they can combine their sporting ambitions with their university degree, The Student Sport Company will help players on the England Talent Pathway to carefully consider the options they have to continue the sport if they were to attend university.
Delivering through Sportfolio
Earlier in the academic year, The Student Sport Company expanded their work in UK university sport by launching their new platform, Sportfolio.
It is this platform that will provide the players on the England Volleyball talent pathway with all the resources that they need to carefully research UK university volleyball.
As part of the partnership, our staff will deliver a workshop to introduce the platform to the players, ensuring they aware of the functionality of the platform, that includes the capability of searching for universities by specific criteria, such as location preferences, volleyball performance and overall BUCS Points.
About our partner, Volleyball England
Founded in 1972 as the English Volleyball Association, Volleyball England is the recognised National Governing Body for volleyball in England and is responsible for the delivery, development, and promotion of the sport throughout the country.
Volleyball England oversee the highest-level competitions in the country, including the MAAREE Women’s Super League and Men’s Super League, as well as the National Volleyball League. University students have the opportunity to participate in each of these competitions through affiliated partner clubs.
In addition, they provide support for England national team athletes to compete on the international stage, while fostering the growth and development of the sport through close collaboration with their network of clubs. For beach volleyball, Volleyball England collaborates with the UK Beach Tour (UKBT) to deliver tournaments across the UK and a national ranking system for players.
